The Empath and the Solipsist

The empath and the solipsist

Met for lunch and tea.

The empath said, ‘Sir, how are you?”

The other: “How are me?”

The solipsist ached in his bones.

The empath felt his pain.

The solipsist felt his pain too.

Said the empath,  “Looks like rain.”

“Let me get you a raincoat.”

The empath shivered, too.

The solipsist was very moved.

And so he said: “I’ll let you.”
