Community College would not come to Ari, so Ari today went to Community College.

First time on campus at Onondaga Community College. Nice place. Very organized place: if you need to speak to someone you take a number. There’s a soothing female voice constantly saying, “Student with number P392, please report to Counter 17.” It took half an hour, but I got helped. Mostly helped.

I have only been in two buildings so far, and the main thing I have to report is that between the two buildings, at ground level, outside, there is a bridge. I don’t know why, but this bridge appears to be over a Grand-Canyon-esque ravine. Seriously, you peer over the edge of the bridge and it’s 20 feet down before you see the top of a tree. A very tall tree. I couldn’t see the ground. Why is there a ravine in the middle of campus?

Tomorrow I will go in and register for classes. Hoping that goes well. If I get out of enough basic classes because of five-year-old transfer credit from my old hippy school, I could take a writing workshop or something. On the other hand, here is the list of classes I took at my hippy school:

The Post-Human Condition
Anthropology of Violence
Transgressive Writing
Philosophy of Language
American Independent Cinema 1987-1998
Turtles, Termites, and Traffic Jams
LIterature of Crime and Detection

So, yeah, a lot of stuff that does not quite apply to an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.
